Here are some things people are saying about their pups!!
Hi Cheryl, Mark,
I don't know if you enjoy keeping track of how your puppies are doing, or not. But just in case, I thought that I'd give you a "Maxx
report". Shortly after we got home with Maxx, I weighed him...22 lbs., I just weighed him again this morning 37 1/2 lbs. So you can
see that he's growing fast. I can not tell you how much I enjoy him, he gets along with Lacey better than I ever could have imagined.
He is bringing back a lot of her youth. They play like they're both puppies, and it is amazing how gentle with him that Lacey is,
although occasionally he gets a little rough with her and she bowls him over, just to keep him in his place. He is very quick to learn
things, house/potty training has come so much easier than it did with Lacey. We took them Chukar hunting (although we didn't find
any chukar), his stamina is amazing for his age. I fired the shotgun on 3 different occasions just to see how he handled it. No
problem. The dogs got pretty hot and tired, so when we got back to the truck, the big dogs wanted to cool off in a water trough, I
put Maxx in there also, wondering how he would handle it. He loved it. I cannot tell you how much Kath and I both enjoy Maxx.
Don't get me wrong though, Maxx is all puppy, he does about every obnoxious thing that puppies do. I guess that the real beauty is,
that as old as I am now, I think most of these things are pretty cute. I can tell that he was well familiar with the work "No" when we
got him. I appreciate all the time that the 2 of you have spent with puppies, it shows.
Once again, thanks for a wonderful puppy. If you're interested, we'll keep you informed on how his hunting skills progress. He is
scheduled to get his last set of shots on the 22nd, so we have a Chukar hunt scheduled for the 27th, this time it's at a pheasant farm
and I know that there'll be birds.
Thanks,
Ken Johnson
